FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Flagler County has been awarded $1.2 million to increase its psychological well being providers for kids and younger adults to assist preserve them out of the prison justice system, in response to the sheriff’s workplace.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Workplace stated Flagler Cares developed the proposal to increase providers in partnership with county commissioners, Halifax Well being and Flagler County Faculties in addition to the sheriff’s workplace.
The state’s Criminal Justice Mental Health Substance Abuse Reinvestment Grant focuses on retaining kids and younger adults out of the prison justice system. The grant will assist increase a beforehand established initiative within the county that has supplied psychological well being providers to greater than 340 college students, in response to the sheriff’s workplace.

Deputies stated the grant will increase this system to younger adults as much as age 25.
